As well as your avatar, every topic now has a thumbnail in the topic list. The thumbnail is the first posted image in the topic. If it is a square image, it will fit completely. If it is rectangular, it will be cropped automatically. So if you want a representative image for your topic, make sure that it's the FIRST image you upload in the topic.

How to create your avatar

Choose your own image from our gallery or upload one you've made yourself. It needs to be within 90x90 pixels.

HINT: You can adjust larger images in Adobe Photoshop or go to this website to shrink your image: http://shrinkpictures.com.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR AVATAR

• Log in.
• Click User Control Panel under the header at the top of any page.
• In the Options column, click Profile.
• Click Edit avatar.

OPTION 1: Choose from our gallery:

• Down the bottom of the Edit avatar box, click 'Display gallery'.
• The gallery opens on page 1. You can go to other pages by selecting a Category. (Our categories are just page numbers at the moment.)
• Click under the image you want, then click Submit down the bottom.

OPTION 2: Upload your own image:

• In the Edit avatar box, click Browse.
• Hopefully you have a 90x90 pixel photo or logo ready in your Pictures folder on your computer. Double click on it.

Now your image should be changed on the Members list, in Private Messages and on all your posts, both previous and new. Also, you can change your name from something unsightly such as joetest to something hot such as Joe Test.



If you want to add some more pictures to the gallery, just reply to this topic with some interesting images. We'll convert them to 90x90 pixels and stick them on the gallery board for everyone to use. We love it when members give suggestions and help improve our site. We usually reprogram The Theatre Network the same day the suggestion is made. Just write a comment in Site Comments.
